From Spain with Love: Meet Our Newest Brand, Surkana

Welcome to our first Style With Us for the new season! We are kicking things off with a very special introduction. If you have visited us in store recently, you might have noticed a fresh face. We are delighted to introduce Dana to the Urban Cachet family. Dana has joined Dee and the team following the retirement of our beloved Teresa, and she is already proving to be a natural in front of the camera.

To celebrate the changing of the seasons, we are featuring a brand that is brand new to our collection: Surkana.

The Spirit of Surkana

Designed and predominantly made in Spain, Surkana is a label that perfectly balances up to the minute fashion with incredible craftsmanship. Whether it is the hidden pop of colour in a jacket lining or the intricate tucking on a blouse, the attention to detail is world class.

In this week’s video, Dee and Dana explore how to "slip back" these Spanish designs with your favourite Foil staples. The goal this season is versatility: pieces you can wear now to lighten up your wardrobe, which then become the perfect base for layering as the winter sets in.

Look One: Sophisticated Structure

Dana starts the episode in the Corduroy Blazer With Inner Lining.This isn't your average cord; it’s a soft cotton cord with a stunning secret lining. It features a clever pocket flap with a mustard reverse. You can leave the flap out for a pop of colour or tuck it in for a sleek jetted look.This blazer is also available in Mustard.

Underneath, she wears the Front Detail Blouse In Multi Tile. This piece is a standout with its mandarin collar, intricate front tucks, and a high low hem that looks just as good worn out as it does tucked in. We’ve paired this with the Foil Full Throttle Pant in Light Khaki and EOS Abbi Loafer in Navy.

Meanwhile, Dee is rocking the Cropped Plaid Blazer. If you love a wide leg pant or a full skirt, this is your new best friend. Because it sits right at the waist, it provides structure without the bulk. She’s paired it with the Collared Shirt in a vibrant Burnt Orange. This is a breathable wood cellulose viscose that feels like a dream. She has finished the look with the classic Foil Jean Queen jean in Dark Wash.

Look Two: The Texture of Knitwear

As the air gets crisper, we turn to Surkana’s playful knitwear. Dee features the Knit Sweater With Contrasting Details in Camel. It’s a soft viscose knit with a fun colour blocked sleeve that looks fantastic cuffed. For those who prefer neutrals, the Ecru colourway with chocolate trims is a must see.

Dana shows off the Braided Pattern Tricot Sweater in a rich Bordeaux. This wool mix piece features a gorgeous textured knit and a beautifully finished cuff detail. This sweater is also available in the Blue colourway. To keep the look modern, Dana is wearing the Foil Lola Jean, which is a slim straight cut that offers a contemporary silhouette without being tight. While Dee is wearing the Foil Jean Queen jean.

Look Three: Shimmer and Shine

For our final act, we look at pieces that transition beautifully from day to evening. Dana wears the Zig Zag Knit Jacket/Cardigan With Lurex, a soft cardigan style piece with a hint of glitter. It’s the perfect weight to throw over a sleeveless dress or pair with the Foil Match Maker Pant for a polished look.
